The countdown begins...
Ahhh! No pressure, but I'm leaving on a jet plane in mere weeks for my southwest adventure.
This weekend I was able to calm my nerves and flex a little creative muscle with some portraits. It's amazing to view how my style has changed throughout the years. I've been slowly putting more emphasis on skin tones instead of focusing on looser strokes and more expressionism. It's really fun to see how these develop and how much more in control you feel sometimes..... and sometimes not.
On my trip I will be meeting with a lot of artists who inspire me. One of my goals is to capture their portrait during my trip to document my time with them, so we'll call the paintings from this weekend as practice.
